Liturgical Committee

Liturgical Committee members are Fr. Ray, Deacon Paul, and eight lay members appointed by the Pastor. Working within the framework of the official rites for liturgical celebrations, the committee meets four to five times during the year to discuss and implement ideas that will enhance the celebration of the liturgy at St. John Vianney.

Most of the planning centers around major liturgical seasons, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, the Easter Triduum and Easter Season. Just a few examples of the committee's work include: the Advent Wreath, our beautiful decor, special rites and dialogue readings used within the liturgy.

The committee also strives to develop parish traditions, such as the Advent Wreath, which add to the sprirtual enrichment of our celebrations, our parish community, and our families.
