Adoration Chapel Update

When the Blessed Sacrament is exposed it may never be left unattended. It has come to our attention that there are hours when it is. As a result, we must keep the outside doors locked at all times. Visitors are welcomed.

HOPE  Revival

February 13th,

9:15 to 11:15 am

SJV Youth Ministry is hosting an event to bring hope and encouragement to our parishioners, as well as the community of Cumberland. Youth in grades 6-12 will take part in a Rally in front of the Church on Diamond Hill Rd. with uplifting signs, balloons and waving to those coming to Mass and also those driving by. As a part of the event, we will be collecting cans of hearty soups to donate to the Northern RI Food Pantry. Our parish goal is 800 cans.

We're currently working on more opportunities for you.

Beginning September 8, 2021 and lasting until June, 26, 2022, the Diocese of Providence will host an ongoing celebration of the sesquicentennial of its founding in February, 1872. The central theme of the celebration - embossed on the anniversary logo beneath the welcoming outstretched arms of Christ - is rooted in the sacred scripture of Psalm 126: “The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.”

Our diocesan celebration will begin on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady, with "A Night to Honor Mary" at 6 p.m. in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, and will continue through Sunday, June 26, 2022, when the commemoration of the 150th anniversary will conclude with a solemn closing Mass at the cathedral at 1 p.m. That Sunday is the closest to the patronal feast day of SS. Peter and Paul.
