Vision for Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry Team seeks to fully integrate our young people's formal Faith Formation with the living out of those principles in our church community and world. We give young people opportunities to meet Christ in the sacraments, prayer and service, in addition to the truth received in our catechetical programs. We build relationships between teens and other members of the parish community in order for them to see the witnesses of Christ living a life of holiness. Our goal is sainthood, by the grace of Christ.
Sunday, February 13th, 9:15 to 11:15 am
SJV Youth Ministry is hosting an event to bring hope and encouragement to our parishioners, as well as the community of Cumberland. Youth in grades 6-12 will take part in a Rally in front of the Church on Diamond Hill Rd. with uplifting signs, balloons and waving to those coming to Mass and also those driving by.
As a part of the event, we will be collecting cans of hearty soups to donate to the Northern RI Food Pantry. Our parish goal is 800 cans. Cans can be dropped off by pulling into the parking lot that day and one of our volunteers will take them directly from your car or trunk or you can put them in the boxes that will be laid out in the entrance/exit ways (contactless drop-off).
All distancing and mask protocols will be followed. Contact Kim Passanante for more information at email@example.com or 847-533-8141.
